Osteopathy is effective for relieving and treating various conditions including:
mechanical hand/foot problems
functional gastro-intestinal problems
Some conditions present as medical enigmas, the functional disorders that are maybe due to stress or poorly functioning anatomy that obstruct good physiology. Example cases are as follows:
A patient who began to dread the thought of eating. He had a lot of pain, mistakenly thinking it was coming from his teeth because his GP and dentist had told him so. But even after considerable expensive dental treatment and emptying the GP’s pain relief bag, he had no relief from the pain. Careful history and examination revealed the patient, in fact, had a lingual nerve entrapment due to the muscle in his tongue being in spasm.
Dystonia: In particular TMJ and sub-occipital muscle becoming dis-co-ordinated tight and causing the head to shake in an annoying fashion. With careful examination and prescription of exercises, we can help you reduce the impact this condition has on your head movements.
